Our Research Group

Meet the people who are in this group

Education systems around the world face the challenge of being an active part, or an obstacle, in the social and political process towards greater equality and recognition of all human beings on the basis of their equality, dignity and rights and, therefore, therefore, regardless of their differences in terms of gender, health status (functioning or (dis)ability), origin, affective-sexual orientation, place of residence, birth or any other. This immense challenge entails, among many other actions, the implementation of processes of educational and social transformation at many different levels: from the conceptions and values of the different actors in the educational scenarios, to the laws and cultures, policies and practices schools for the participation, coexistence and learning of all, in which those are specified and embodied.

Our EQUIDEI research group, based at the Autonomous University of Madrid, but with the participation of research staff from other universities, has been created to help improve the psychopedagogical understanding of these processes of conceptual and value change, both at different levels. in which it can and should be developed, such as in different scenarios or groups at risk and throughout the different educational stages. EQUIDEI also has a clear purpose of contributing to the transfer of this knowledge, through outreach activities, training and advice to those who are at the forefront of this ambition, as well as through the establishment of alliances with families, with NGOs both national and international. international and with other research groups, inside and outside the UAM.
